Our Founding

After years of collaborating with fellow artists, our founder observed a troubling trend: many relied on their creativity to cope with pain and trauma. Unfortunately, they often lacked access to essential healthcare, such as therapy or psychiatric consultations, due to factors like a busy schedule, lack of insurance, and rising living costs. This unsustainable cycle left them struggling to manage mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Our advocacy aims to address this critical gap, supporting professionals in an industry where many already feel isolated and underserved.

Our Vision

At Heal This Way, we champion the belief that everyone deserves healing. We’re committed to offering vital mental health resources to our community. Our mission is to empower professionals to pursue their passions with dignity, fostering healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives. Through partnerships like Better Help for no-cost therapy, stigma reduction efforts, and advocacy for improved mental health policies, we strive to create a future where well-being is a human right.

Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors serve the greater community on a volunteer basis, out of passion for mental wellness and the body art community. If you have any questions or need to contact us, shoot us an email!

barron

Barron is a piercer of 15 years and also sits on the board of directors of The Association of Professional Piercers. When Barron isn’t making people feel their best with a new piercing, he is spending time with his family or driving around in his goofy lil ACTY (We will save you a search, its a mini-truck).

Bryan has been in the piercing industry since 2002 and is proud to be the owner of Jewelry This Way, co-owner of Born This Way Body Arts and founder of The Heal This Way Foundation. When Bryan isn’t working his booty off, he loves to stop adulting and hang out with his dog, Leroy, who looks like a loaf of bread.
